"Most bands would rather not be known as Christian due to the hypocrisy in the church but that doesn't excuse them (or any of us) from stepping out boldly"

  1. I feel like that's not the case so much as some of us bands made up of Christian dudes do not want to be held to the RIDICULOUS standard that both fans and their parents would hold us up to. We try every day to live for Him and His kingdom and His glory, but when people put you on a pedestal for the shear fact that you are in a band, it causes a lot of stress. I don't think bands should ever deny Christ but we should all take caution in thinking that just because people are our preachers, Christian musicians, movie stars WHATEVER that they too fall short of the glory of God. And THAT I feel is why some bands try to evade the label of "Christian". ....Man I hope that makes a little sense. PEACE AND LOVE. -Chad Every

  2. ^ Interesting point Chad. I feel that being labeled as a Christian band does not in any sybolize you as being perfect. Sure, as musicians acknowledging God and playing for him, you're going to be held to high standards by parents who are contemplating buying your album for their children. Parents and others are going to judge, but keep playing from the heart and giving it up to God. It's all that really matters anyhow, right? See you in the pits \m/

  3. when i was in TOTM, i think that became the emphasis of our message, the hypocritical churches, the religion, the fundamentalism, etc...

but if i could do it all over, i would certainly make the emphasis about the unashamed confidence of Jesus Christ!!!
